Monday Night Follies at City Hall

"We worship in America the God of this Bible. Allah is not a God. This is the only God. This is why America is celebrating 250 years of freedom. I didn't come to say that. I just wanted to be clear to the gentleman who spoke before me.
...

Our group Pray Richardson was told that if I continued to talk and harass the Richardson employees at the front desk with my religion, then I would no longer be able to rent a room. I will no longer rent from the Muslim Heights Recreation Center.
...

I will close in prayer. God our Father...we are in a great I call it Alamo situation where we just heard a Muslim friend speak at this microphone. Nowhere on Your planet, Father, where Islam is is there any peace, any love, any joy.
...

[Speaker's time is up. Mayor: If you'll just wrap up, please.]

Mayor, you're interrupting a prayer to God. I pray for Amir Omar and Arefin Shamsul and the rest of those in this room that they cannot sleep until they see dreams and visions of Jesus Christ."

— Words spoken during Visitors Forum of Richardson City Council meeting, June 1, 2026.
