The fight over Covid-19 safety & virtual versus in person learning is one example. I’m hoping I will become better at in person speaking via a virtual platform in the future. As Soren Kirekegaard once wrote in response to the Corsair magazine in 1845, “people demand freedom of speech as compensation for the freedom of thought they rarely use.” I’m hoping that no matter how these local elections turn out, we will start looking at data analytics & arriving at consensus building through solutions before being quick to jump on the blame game bandwagon.
